This requires building a highly capable skills based function.

Achieving such a goal depends on the quality and quantity of the CPO’s team – their bench strength. These are also the fundamentals upon which expanding procurement scope & influence are based. From this perspective, the rapid development of their team is the CPO’s most pressing challenge.
